Gracious79 No you don't need transformer, you can just connect it directly to the electricity.

D: I have received my lights and the instructions say AC 12V Transformer must be used. The description says AC 12 V or DC 12 to 24 V. PLEASE, which is correct and can I use a 24V DC Transformer ?
