Worked out of the box. it does the job of rating the batteries it takes a while on high capacity batteries and the load resister gets warm but not super hot. This is worth the money helped me find a few over rated batteries and helped me with testing some recycled batteries. I highly recommend it.

Is a great product I he d to make a battery pack for a ryobi drill. I found the wiring diagram in a google search I followed that and it is still going strong. it will shut down batteries when they are low and prevents over charging also. This is a great product and I highly recommend it.😀
