yes it works fine. using with raspberry (tested without voltage conversion but normally its needed because this item uses 5v and raspberry 3.3, but i guess it is protected - voltage divider is needed) and it works great. just needed to map backlight pins to pins this board which maps normally to arduino data pins. these are then mapped to raspberry pins and we have a hello world :) btw if the text is not seen, check the pin order or trim the potentiometer (i used my nail). the model has also analog pinout, you can get output value for the buttons. nice device indeed!
