This product is ace. I'm very pleased with it. my positive points can be found below but I thought I'd explain first why it didn't get 5 stars... There are 2 reasons for the 4 star review and they are: 1) that the available voice commands via connected smart home equipment are confusing and limited. I have named my device "THE BLIND" and I would like to say "Alexa, open THE BLIND" but instead I have to say "Alexa, turn on THE BLIND". I would also like to say "Alexa, close the blind" but instead I have to say "Alexa, turn off THE BLIND". to me, this is very confusing as it is not only reverse logic but also not terminology a natural English speaker would use. it would be great if the app allowed you to customise commands as well as rename the device. 2) making any changes such as adding the remote wrong (I expected batteries and it had none so the adding process failed) can cause the blind to lose its programmed start and end points. If you make a mistake in programming it from the outset or if you need to make a change for any reason, you have to totally reset the device, remove it from the app and then re-add it, which is somewhat frustrating. But... once you have it how you want it, it's great! Ours works from the buttons on the unit (great for our 4 year old), from the bluetooth remote (non-directional) AND via Amazon Alexa. It's exactly what I'd hoped for and works better than I'd expected it to. It works with the existing blind controls and has adapters to fit various thicknesses of rope/string. It has inbuilt ratchet controlled adjustment to perfect the tension and the magnetic attachment for the remote control is genius. On the negative side, I had some issues with delivery. my first shipment went missing so I had to chase Banggood on a number of occasions and ultimately, wait almost 2 months for delivery which was frustrating - but the customer services team looked after me well in the end.

The delivery was delayed which was slightly frustrating but the item did what I bought it to do. I bought this as a cloning tool to upgrade my laptop's M.2 PCIe SSD hard drive 'offline' (with no need for a computer). It worked a treat. I'd have given it 5 stars but for one niggle - there are blue lights to show progress as it copies the data. They flash to show 25%, 50%,75%,100%... but then they go off. I'd have expected them to stay on to show the job completion status as "finished". Since I had the cloning processing in the background (watching it would have been pointless and boring), when I came back to it, I didn't now if the job had finished or failed. The only way to check this was to fit the new drive into my laptop and boot it up and keep my fingers crossed! as it happened, it had worked perfectly and the laptop works with no need to reinstall software etc. so I'm pleased. This was significantly cheaper than any other option I could find in the marketplace and worked perfectly. If you can afford to wait, this is a good buy. NB at this time, I have not tried the device as a docking station but I have no reason to doubt its efficacy as it patently reads and writes effectively.
