Arrived in excellent condition with all accessories except a US plug or adapter for the charger which would have been more of a problem had I not already had one. Two batteries (as advertised) were present. I was going to order the X8-SE but wanted the flexibility the A3 offers via RC's built in display which means I don't need a phone or an app, all I need is the RC and the A3, don't need a phone, an app or even GPS for that matter. As far as 1KM vs 5KM control range, for now, I fly line of sight so 1KM is just fine. Regarding the 1080p camera vs. the 4k of the X8 or others, I realized that, as of this moment at least, several factors would make 4k video too cumbersome for me for to use with any frequency. I am quite happy with the video and photo quality of the A3 though I am no photographer and all camera settings are default. This is a starter quadcopter for me, to see if I enjoy using it and use it enough to consider spending a bit more for that 4K camera / 5KM control range X8-SE. I am quite satisfied currently with this quadcopter. Having flown it 7 or 8 times now for a good chunk of time, most of it over water, I can say I have a high level of confidence in the quality of the product and if I were to upgrade, the Xiaomi Fimi X8-SE would be at the top of my list based on my experience with the Xiaomi Fimi A3

Second A3 for gift, review from first purchase. Would have preferred a little bit of "grab" to the cap rather than it floating loosely but, good enough, does what it says.

Pretty nice hardshell backpack style case. The only real issue is certain, if not all items are not held in place well enough. The batteries are a good example of this as they will most likely fall out of place and bang around in the case against the quadcopter and RC...less than ideal. I found that two small velcro tie wraps (cable wraps) around each battery, hook side out (hook side in relation to hook and loop or "velcro") solves the issue with the batteries. Two more wraps can be put on two arms of the quad which accomplish the same as with the batteries...namely firming up the fit but also, the hook side of the velcro will "grab" the molded insert as well for an extra level of stick. One could also affix velcro, loop side out to the molded insert for an extra secure attachment. The RC slot requires some modification as well if you expect the RC to stay in place. For the price? Not too bad at all....4 stars for sure
