Overall pretty nice. Get it only if you know what an esp32 is, and how to program it though, and you like the coolness of wearing a esp32 as watch :) One flaw: The back cover tends to crack on it's own (with no abuse), probably bad molding of the plastic or a too tight fit in the case. And once known/expected esp32 issue: power usage with blue-tooth on all the time is somewhat high, and will drain your battery fast (8-10 hours?), and to (theoretically) solve that a 32.768kHz xtal is required which is not included on this board (see https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/947)

cranphin It's at least (and probably only) an IR transmitter (IR LED). One of the firmware's has a Samsung TV remote control using it. But it's not a very focused beam (if it's a beam at all), so I wouldn't rely on it for remotely controlling devices :)

Wifi reception can be a bit finicky, especially on a breadboard, so I might recommend getting it with antenna (make sure the board you buy is in the right position then though! You're not res-oldering that yourself :) ) Otherwise works well.

Nice little unit, as far as I can tell seems to work as advertised. Be mindfull that this has 'only' big USB connectors, so you need an adapter or so to test power supply's with an attached lead with micro usb plug

Display works as advertised, I like it :) Using on esp32 with u8g2. Make sure to set a high spi speed for high refresh rates :)
