Great little board. I have a 12v based battery back up emergency light system Some of those light systems require a constant 5v USB supply.. Absolutely no problems with this little board.

When you're a maker and deal with your own designs you almost everytime need 5V for µC boards or other logic. For parts of your design you most likely need higher voltages for LEDs, motors or what so ever ... Then this module is very handy. It creates the 5V ot of the other voltage you have available. The voltage is quite on spot and does not have a high ripple (at least not for a SMPS of this kind) ... Works very well in my applications up to now.
