Camera seems well build. Title originally suggested (but it has now been revised) that camera supported ONVIF but don't be fooled it doesn't. Camera is wi-fi only and can only be configured using an app on an Android or iPhone. The process is simple, install the app, input your wi-fi router credentials, then it generates a barcode on screen that you hold in front of your camera so it enables its connection to your wifi. PC webclient functionality is useless and when logging in the video feeds do not work.. suspect it needs a special codec but this not detailed in any documentation. Hopefully Escam will work to develop this more. Features wise you can sitck in up to a 64GB micro-SD card, i've tested with a 32GB one and it works fine. You do need to power re-cycle the device following insertion otherwise it won't pick it up. I like how the camera motion alarm allows you to specify the pre-record period that it buffers any footage leading up to motion being detected, a bit like what you'd get on fancy NVR systems. The interface for reviewing recorded clips is presented on a timeline and is useful for reviewing recorded footage. Would be useful if the recorded footage on the card could be remove and placed into a PC but seem its formatted with some non-windows filesystem. The camera only supports RTSP and HTTP video streams. The latter I cannot identify what it's direct connection stream is which is a shame as it could be useful for 3rd party PTZ application control. RTSP data stream can be accessed using: rtsp://IP ADDRESS:554/user=admin_password=youpasswordhere_channel=1_stream=0.sdp, which is useful if wanting to pipe the output to the likes of 'iSpy'. Night vision works well indoors. Image quality is very good. The power unit supplied looks like an iPhone charger; this has been temporamental so far and doesn't always power up my camera so have had to switch to a known good power supply. All in all a good wi-fi camera but built to a price, don't expect any high end feature but for the cost its good.

MrMortar Ok, some good news, following an email to Escam magically my IE browser recognises there is software required for download to enable the web client to work. I have downloaded this software and now a whole host of configuration/options are available for this camera - at last!

MrMortar Product update. Banggood have resolved my issues so happy with that. I was been able to get 1h20m runtime out of the light (runinng between strobe/1000LM mode before glowing red at which point light power appeared to drop. It continued to run so I was able to complete my 30mins or so remaining ride. Operating duration for 1000LM mode is supposed to be 2h35m so whilst running in combination with less demanding modes you'd expect a lot longer, either way figures down quite a bit from advertised.

Very satisfied Wow, super-fast deliver to the UK with the default shipping service on this, got it in less than 7 days! Before I begin, I decided to choose this one over the 1600 version because I wanted the longevity of 2+ hours at 1000LUM mode. On paper the 1600 although being much brighter on full power offers less than time (1.5hrs) and the alternative of running at a lesser power (800LUM) would seem pointless. Therefore I thought this version was the best compromise, oh and it’s smaller. I mainly got this for road cycling but will occasionally use it off-road depending on British weather. First impressions are good; you are presented with a classy box which slides open to reveal the light. I was very impressed by the quality of the unit out of the box, precision made alloy body all firmly held together. Feels like something worth 4 times as much! The amount of illumination this light gives off in full 1000 Lumens mode is impressive. Plenty to light up close sections of road or forest. I’m yet to try it properly off-road but I’m sure it will perform perfectly. The strobe light mode is mental and must be annoying to other motorists (hehe) but certainly gets you noticed! Having a remote on/off/mode button for me was a must as I frequently feel the need to change modes depending on my situation and with the buttons being relatively stiff to press (which is ok) it would detract from cycling and you need to keep your eyes on the road. The white button on the top used to change modes changes its colour tone to help indicate which mode you are in. You can also use this light as a battery power bank which is very useful if you get stuck somewhere and need to sling some charge in your phone. I can’t validate the figures for lengths of battery service based on the advert depictions I trust that they will be close enough. The only negative thing from me is that there is some small defect in the lens of the light in one corner which looks like a defect during manufacturer. Hopefully Banggood will be able to help me out on this. I hope this review will assist others out there who are trying to decide which cycle lights to choose.
