Works fine with just a usb-c cable with 2016 Macbook pro. Also, works with HDMI cable and USB A- USBc -cable with an old Macbook Air 2011, no external power supplies needed. The display feels solid and the picture looks good, at least to an amateur like myself. The magnetically attaching cover is cool, and folds (partially) away when used as a tilting support.

BG143113814 Minearrived with a magnetically attaching cover. I might not call it a case, but a cover anyway. And the cover folds in quite flexibly
