Memisis Yes, all you would need to do is to reverse the polarity to the peltiers and it will reverse the polarity and you can reverse hot and cold. So dont be worried about the "side", its all about the power input.

BG671516539 the red dot isn't too bright, but in the trsts i have done, it was easily visible around fifty meters on a sunny day. I haven't tried it over longer distances.
