Using an 8 element RG-6 colinear strapped to the balcony handrail I am getting >190 frames per second on ADSB#. This is approx 100% improvement over the dongle without the pre-amp. Max range observed so far is 400 km -- however my QTH is on top of a hill @ >1300m. In order to avoid the high gain of the preamp overloading the "front-end" of the DVB-T dongle I inserted a 20 dB attenuator on the output side of the preamp and disabled AGC in the ADSB# software. It was no problem for me to solder wires on to the lead from the feed-through capacitor to provide 5 VDC to power the pre-amp but a micro usb socket would have been much more convenient. I would really like to see some gain and bandwidth plots and also a more complete spec and schematic. When installing a pre-amp out of doors it is important to know what kind of input protection is provided. Overall I am quite happy with this pre-amp.

Gerifield I used it with my Oneplus 5T without any issues, it worked. (With and USB-C travel adapter.)

D: Do I need a voltage insertion T ? What voltage does the pre-amplifier require? I don't see any voltage on the sma antenna connector of my Neo 7N GPS module.

connected input to 12VDC and output to Fluke voltmeter. Initial setting of the potentiometer, as received, gave approximately the input voltage. Adjusted the voltage down to just over 5 V. Further adjusting the potentiometer dropped the voltage to 0, more or less as expected. Turning the pot the other way brought the voltage up smoothly to over 30V under no load - continued turning the pot when there was a sudden voltage drop and the XL6009 started heating. Disconnected voltage immediately. Added 20 ohms of power resistors in series with the input and tried again. No output voltage. A resistance check across the out put showed approx 0.3 ohms -- more or less a dead short. Thought it might be one of the two caps filtering the output so I removed and tested these and then replaced them with new 50 V rated caps. Still no output and a shorted input. My conclusion is that it is possible to destroy the XL6009 by adjusting the output voltage in excess of 30V; i.e. no integral protection in the circuit on the higher voltage side. USE A VOLTMETER WHEN ADJUSTING THE POTENTIOMETER AND DO NO EXCEED MAXIMUM VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION.

D: The written "features" / specification shows 1 ppm TCXO however the photo of the PCB is labeled 0.5 ppm TCXO. Which is correct?

Lacon I have not see 0.5 ppm TCXO in the photo of the PCB.

I bought the ESP8266 and the DHT11 modules to set up a remotely readable thermometer. As soon as I found the Github link on the product page, setup was pretty straight forward. I also found a variety of YouTube videos that explain how to add the board to Arduino IDE and set up a web server and give links to prepared sketches. Not much of a problem, even for someone with only very basic Arduino skills. In fact, the only issue I encountered was with the USB cable that I used. Lucky for me the first video I watched pointed out this possible issue and switching to a different USB cable connected the board to Arduino IDE.

I use these magnets to make fridge magnets from my scroll saw work. These little magnets have plenty of holding power for this application. I use epoxy to glue the magnets to the work, first using my Dremel with a small milling bit as a mini plunge router to mount the magnets flush with the back of the work. The photo shows a figure cut from 6 mm plywood with magnets on the reverse so it can be attached to a fridge door.

Happy with these. I find that they are much easier to use than the little sanding drums for sanding curved edges of my scroll saw projects.

I tested the paste by applying a small amount to each side of a smd capacitor and then soldering it to a prototype board using my Hakko soldering station. No issues -- solder flowed well and left very little residue. This would not be a typical use but was acceptable as a test.
