Very fast delivery... 10 days to get here in New Zealand... Panel looks good quality however the short circuit is only 700mA not the 3 Amperes suggested in the online specs.

Fast delivery... about 12 days to New Zealand... looks good... USB output position makes it difficult to insert USB plug so should be raised about 1mm...Specs for this panel are wrong... the Max output current is only 500mA not the 1700mA given in the online details... I believe the panel is overpriced due to the low output current as it does not match the specs given.

These kits are nothing like the picture of the made-up organ. The packaging that came through the post was just a thin plastic bag with all components thrown in consequently all the pins on the switches and iC are distorted and or flattened. The switches supplied do not fit the PCB and the wire supplied for the speaker is single core 0.2mm diameter... totally unsuitable! The picture also show IC socket but none supplied. I now think ID: 1607894 kit may be a better option to choose.

My motor appears to have too much friction and does not spin freely. The rotor unit is not levitated... it appears the bottom of the rotor shaft is magnetically attached to the bottom magnet and that creates the friction... What can I do to make the rotor spin freely and just spin on the top bearing? Thanks

I have charged it up and given it quick try but not used it for any serious work as yet. Seems to work well with good torque. should make dealing with lots of screws a breeze. There is a huge number of bit types that came with the unit... I can't see me using many of them but who knows what is going to pop up in my next dismantling job.

I have charged it up and tried it a few times... It appears to just turn itself off after a couple of bursts and it has to be turned off and back on with the switch before it will work again... maybe that is the design??? I will use it and see how it goes over time. The arc does what it is designed to do and lght fires etc.

I have done a quick test and found the open circuit Voltage in the Sun was about 7 Volts (Plus a little) and the short circuit current was about the 100mA plus a little more depending on angle and probably the season. My test was done in middle of winter... I am sure you will get better results in summer.

TERRY Since making the comment above about the motor not working I have dismantled the Mendocino Motor and found that the bottom magnet on the rotor was moving on the rotor shaft and was dragged down to the bottom magnet on the frame... I have now glued it to the correct position on the shaft and it now works fine. A great little device... Thanks

They appear good quality and inside testing under an LED 20 Watt light the one I tested produced 2.5 Volts and a short circuit current of 50mA.
