D: What exactly is the surface finish, and is the aluminum anodized? I need to know for epoxy bonding.

I ordered 12 of these. First, the pros: * The product if of good quality and exactly as described. * I crudely measured the length of these beams with an imperial unit tape measure (starting from 1" of course) and they are all exactly 19 + 11/16", which is 500.0625mm. I could believe they are all exactly 500mm ± 0.1mm if the seller specified this. * The V-slot way on all sides of all beams was flawless, without nicks, dents, deformities, chipped anodizing, nor rough spots. * The packaging was excellent (see pictures). * The beams are extremely flat and parallel, maybe bowing by 0.05mm at worst in the middle of the beams in either direction (checked by placing beams flush with one another and flipping to see curvature - it is not noticeable but can be seen with light passing through the gap). The rigidity of the beams is less than this deviation, and with maybe 5lbs of force (2.5kg) could be pushed flush with one another. The cons: * Two of the beams had significant damage to the edge of the beam (see pictures), and since the packaging was good and there were no breaks in the packaging, I doubt the blemishes occurred during shipping. For my purposes, this is cosmetic. * All of the beams do not have perfectly flat ends; while I believe they are square and flat, literal corners were cut on the aluminium (see pictures), as if someone were rushing trying to cut the beams to size and nicked them on the saw blade. This is cosmetic, since the extrusions still sit flat on their ends. Now, a caveat: My shipping took a total of 70 DAYS. However, the cause for this is the package not clearing customs or something, and getting returned to the seller. The seller contacted me through email and gave me the option for a refund or to ship the package again, and included tracking info this time. The second shipping time was about 14 days to the US West coast. Overall, excellent value for the money, I would definitely buy again. Good seller.

Lots of backlash on the nut, about 0.2mm. This is to be expected, however. I would not recommend these at all; get Machifit's other ones; for 2/3rds the price, you can but the SAME SELLER's 600mm T8 2mm leadscrew with an anti backlash nut ON THIS SITE, which has much better accuracy. Terrible value for the money, as these can be cut to length quite easily. I do recommend the seller's other leadscrews, however. Not sure why these are sold at all due to their poor value, but they are a decent quality, functional product.

Purchased 4x 600mm rods and 2x 300mm rods. The rods appear to be of high quality and are cut to length well. The anti backlash nuts are also good. Interestingly, even when swapping the nuts between rods, the 300mm rods have a nice, tight fit with the nuts even without the anti-backlash system, with almost no backlash by themselves. The 600mm ones required the use of the anti-backlash nuts to make them tight. The value for the money is pretty good, and the rods came packaged inside pvc tubing. Excellent packaging.
