This controller works great for my ceiling fan. I'm having a bit of trouble with the RF remote because the casing of my fan is metal and the antenna needs to be outside of the metal box otherwise you get a limited range on the remote. The antenna is black and my ceiling is white and now I have two black wires sticking out of the fan. I will glue the antenna to the ceiling and paint it white also. I hope the paint will not have an influence on the range
