I absolutely loved the first version of this ESC, the V2 is even better! The V2 did away with the motor wires since we all solder our own on anyway, it also has a Silabs BB2 MCU which will commutate the motor even faster than the BB1 MCU. This is good news for quads with really high KV motors. These are the same ESC's as the Sunrise Cicadas. Sunrise has been making ESC's for a long time, they are a major OEM of many Brand name ESC's. I have used and abused the V1's, they have been an incredibly tough ESC. I routinely push them past 30A and they don't heat up at all. There is a Tantalum Cap on the back side of the board that could be damaged if not protected so I would recommend cushioning these with some 1/4" foam during installation.

I love this ESC. It's a good product for a solid price. It supports the latest protocol like Dshot600 without removing any caps. Great value for the price you pay.

These are Cicada ESCs. Not clones, they are Cicadas with Racerstar stickers at an amazing price. I have them on a Shiv 5" quad pushing Emax RS2205 2300kv motors and RaceKraft 5x4x3 props and the performance is fantastic. Was easily able to flash BLHeli_S using passthrough on my X-Racer F303 flight controller. I don't think you can get better ESCs for the money.
