Best component ever. Many years ago, I programmed with assembly on an HC11 board. The Arduino does so much more and is far easier to use. many online references for learning how to use these. I have never had one of these fail yet. NOTE: If you have the USB port plugged in an you accidentally short it out (Vcc to ground, for example), it will instantly burn out the power regulator on the USB adapter. DON;T WORRY...you might still be able to use the board by plugging in the Vcc and Gnd pins to your 5V power supply. To program the board after a burn-out, you will have to plug in the USB cord AND your alternate power supply at the same time so that you can power the board for communication. I have one burnt-out board that I use for testing all the time, and it works just fine.
