I received the flashlight, it looked robust enough. I was disappointed that I didn't have the right battery in stock for it, then I realized that I could use a standard AA battery. It is plenty bright on a common battery. I did put in 14500 battery, but for my use, it didn't make enough of a difference to stock those also. (Most are rechargeable). I have a grandson that likes to take my flashlights. For the price, it works great, and if it gets stolen or otherwise lost, I won't cry over it.

While this flashlight will light up with a single AA, that provides less than half the voltage required to actually be bright enough to be usable. A 14500 3.7v Lithium cell is required for actual use. I love the flashlight, but be aware that it does not work well with a AA battery.

The flashlight is built really good but the light output is weak doesn't worth the price anyway.

Shame this did not come with LOW or STROBE settings, just HIGH. The emitter was too far out off centre but it still managed to get a beam of light.
