very amusing car. you can charge the battery with an external standard 5 volt USB charger (or your PC USB port). the remote control needs 2 AA batteries. it works soon without problem. I cannot say about the lifetime or reliability of the product. the only suggestion that I have is to reduce a little bit the speed of the car. the motors are running too faster and, except the demo mode, it is tricky to properly control the standard movements with the remote control. anyway for the price it is really a fun car
