This module design is a good way to charge a LiPo or power something that needs a regulated constant voltage. I especially like having the display built in so I don’t have to use a multimeter to set it up or see what’s going on. I’ve blown one up by momentarily connecting it to the wrong polarity at high current but was able to fix it by replacing the $1 regulator chip. In use these seem bulletproof and very easy to set up and monitor. I have a few and have had no problems at all. When powering an Elecraft KX3 Transceiver I had no problems with switching noise from the regulator and it stayed quite cool even when regulating the 2.5A transmit current.
