The spot on the right is useful to focus on a single object. The sensor activate also if you move your head close to a wall or any other object. There are no instructions manual, the only instructions are printed on the box To charge the lamp you need to use the provided USB C cable, other brand USB C cables do not insert enough to activate the charge.
