Out of dozens of flashlights that I have owned, this is definitely one of my favourites. I ordered the 4000K version in plain black, and both the output and the tint are astonishing. It emits a pure, buttery white light with (to me) no noticeable tint shift on any level. With Ardúril, Toykeeper has created an amazing user interface that leaves no wishes open - smooth ramping or stepped mode, temperature calibration. battery check, muggle mode with lower output and decreased functionality for when the light is used by children or inexperienced users, as well as a large range of special modes such as lightning, candle mode, beacon and different flashes. Even the AUX LEDs can be configured in brightness or set to pulse. Charging occurs through the built-in USB-C port, a huge improvement over the traditional micro-USB standard. It didn't take long to charge a 21700 battery from around 3.5V, This makes me believe that the charge current of 2A claimed by the manufacturer is correct, or at least close to the actual current provided. A huge advantage is the possibility to use both a 26650 battery, or the 21700 format which is becoming increasingly popular. Even traditional - and more easily available - 18650 batteries can be used, as long as they are of the high drain variety. Overall, I can say I'm very happy with this light, and would definitely recommend it.
