Solid aluminum build, tested at 20A and works fine, it heats quite a bit. The voltage only dropped from 12.12V to 12.02V at this current. Note that the fan is NOISY, and you might want to change it if you're doing videowork and homemade lighting. It has an internal 2pin 12V connector. On the outside, the supply has 3 (-) and 3 (+) 12V connectors, along with a Neutral, Phase, and Ground connections. Be careful though, they are on the right side and you could easily get shocked. You can also fine tune the output voltage with a potentiometer. No flicker on the lights, but be careful that it sends back some noise to your power socket (I noticed interferences with other devices when plugged on the same wall).

Packaging was too bad=some of chassi was bent. They are adjustable from som 10.6 to 13.7 V and deliver some 48 A with max 48mV ripple. Voltage drop at 40A is only 300mV. The blower seems to run on high speed at all times. Will restart in some 15 sec after overcurrent switchoff automatically even with a 40 A load connected... Real powerhouse, and high efficiency i e hardly warm, but somewhat noisy.

I've now purchased 3 of these bricks and each one tests well. Although I definitely wouldn't run it at it's full capacity, it's able to safely run at around 35 amps without overheating. Most of the lighting will be RGB strips which will only be roughly on a 50% duty cycle, so the supply should run cool and not be subject to stress. The fans are rather noisy in an enclosed area, but all of my supplies will be outside so a little noise is no problem.

Alimentatore molto potente. Funziona alla grande. Alimenta 35 metri di LED non è un problema.

I bought it to have a 12vdc power supply for different uses. I conected a 12v air compressor that needs approximately 15 ampere. It was running for 10 minutes without problem. The power supply was cool after the job. The voltage regulator allows to change from 11.2vdc till 13.2vdc.

Worked correctly out of the box. I used this to replace a 30A power supply that would not switch properly as it was a bit underpowered for the application. This power supply is not exactly as pictured but rather has exactly the same size and style metal case as the 30A variety with the fan on top not on the end. Sorry it is already installed and I forgot to take a picture. The marked output is 500W not 480W, so it is just over 41A. I took off one star for appearance for two reasons, first it is not as pictured, second like most power supplies that ship from Banggood one of the fins in the front was bent during before or during shipping. It was easy to bend back with a pair of pliers. This one was shipped from the U.S. warehouse.

I am pleased to get this powerful powersupply, 40A is perfect to supply current to large Lipo chargers. I am prepared to buy another one

I bought this to use with my 350W LiPo battery charger it works well in this mode however the inrush current at switch on is a lot higher than I expected for a 480W PSU. It trips the breaker in the 10A RCD that protects my workbench so I've had to move it to an unprotected socket. I measured the inrush current at a bit over 20A with the waveform indicating that there isn't a soft start. Two of the mounting tags were bent on arrival but they were easily straightened with a pair of multi grips. The fan is thermostatically controlled increasing in speed as the output current increases it's alright in the workshop but could be a bit loud in a quiet room if its flat out.

I recently bought a new charger to charge my RC batteries and for this I needed a 24V 40A power supply. Just bought two of these power supplies to put in series. The positive feature of this power supply is that the housing is only connected to the earth connection and not to the minus. This makes it very easy to put them in series without being afraid that the housings produce a shot circuit against each other. The noise of the fan is OK for my purpose.
