Great idea but build quality needs a little improvement. The case wouldn't clip together on one side so I had to tape it.

I ordered two of these. One works well, except that the shoddy plastic case has to be held together with rubber bands. The other one doesn't work at all, and examination of the circuit board reveals that two of the chips are missing; I might not have noticed this if I didn't have the other unit to compare. These chips are presumably needed for operation of the product. This unit was amazingly inexpensive, so getting one unit for the price of two is still not so bad. Of course, my experience

Mine didn't work but I was able to fix it tracing the problem to a cold solder joint on the + terminal of the BMS board. The case is snap fit and it took a lot of pressure and patience before I was able to get it to fully close and lock -- a lot of pressure going progressively around the perimeter. Another reviewer had missing surface mount components. So we'll see how it performs now that it's working.

Device can't handle 2A because of microprocessor thermal shutdown. only good for 1.5A continuous load
