This is a fun way to learn about Arduino and sensors. Your can build almost whatever you want with a board like this. Only limit is your imagination! Pros: -Small -Built in mini USB -Arduino -WiFi Cons: -Built in USB causes more power drainage if running from battery

Nice little Prototype Board with all requirements for fast flashing without any additional gear! Comes with two kinds of header. Perfect for little projects, without required to design my one PCB.

test one of them , with blink program, and connecting with my wifi box now , I must try with LUA

This is my second order of 3 of these devices this year. The first order was fine, but second order didn't work. Every time, I attempted to load lua code to a device it responded with "ERROR". But I was able to re-flash them with from cloud build service and they worked. The devices from the first order were flashed with It was a confusing problem but now it is fixed.

When I first received this I thought it was only the wi-fi module, but this is an actual programmable micro-controller. And it's really powerful too, clock speed of 80 mhz gives you plenty clock cycles to work with, and it has a 4 megabyte storage. All in this tiny little package? what the duck. I unpacked one of them and tried uploading the ESP8266 example "Blink" and it blinked the little blue led next to the big silver chip, also with some modifications of the delay time, everything just worked. You have to have arduino IDE and the esp8266 addition to it. Top notch, amazing little thing.

I was blown away by how easy it was to set this up in the Arduino IDE, then subsequently flash it for use a an AP+WebServer using the sample code. Its hard to imagine that something so small packs so much power and potential. The only tiny wrinkle is that my unit needed to be flashed as a WeMos D1 board, instead of the more obvious NodeMCU 12E. Apart from that, its all been good so far and I will be putting mine to work in the next project immediately.

Love these cheap, tiny, highly featured and powerful dev boards for my IOT projects. The 8266 isn't so great when you need both Wifi and solid interrupt handling, but its perfect for simpler requirements. Can't wait for when the ESP32 reaches this price level :)

It is very useful that these modules are compressed in size. Almost the same as the standard size, especially for the most commonly used pins. Good quality, all works well (in total 6 pieces up to now)

This is a small version of NodEMCU based on ESP-12E module. Once you finished the development, this module makes it easy to plug in your pre-programmed module, or use as an embedded system.
