This init does not come with the sensor fitted and there is no indication which way it is supposed to fit, if fitted the wrong way the sensor will burn out as I found out by trial and error, It appears you can;t purchased the senor LDR seperately. I think the little buldge goes up when looking at it as in the picture

This works very well. I tried violet, green and red lasers. They all work perfectly. The sensor is quite sensitive and actually responds to ordinary light from a flashlight.

Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it seems to be exactly what I needed. It's sensitive to ambient light, but I intend to put it at the end of a short tube to shade it from ambient light and detect only the laser.

Better than I expected. With KY-008 transmitter I can get 115kbps transfer rate, at about 20m distance so far.
