The wires were just twisted around the tabs on the clips. I eventually soldered them and added a small piece of green heat shrink around the wire which makes it look nice and clean as it comes out of the clip. I just used the clips today to program a new chip before soldering to a board. Very handy and good price.

Even though the photo on the product page shows otherwise, I still had to solder the joints where the wires are attached to the hook. Also I would have wished to get a mix in color of the test clips. 3 different colors would have been great. Mines are all green. Still good value for price.

This is NOT 12 test clamp but 4 test clamps. The test clamp and the wire are not soldered.
