This adapter is easy to use and high quality solution for converting HDMI to VGA+audio at very affordable price. It works great without plugging it to external power source, so I wonder what is 5V DC plug intended for (perhaps for driving headphones instead of connecting to active speakers)? Highly reccomended.

This device does exactly what I require it to do. My computer has an HDMI out. One of the projectors I use only has a VGA in. This dongle allows me to output HDMI from my computer and convert that to VGA on my projector. Excellent.
